Requests

Here you will find information about advertising and sponsorships, social media accounts, media inquiries and FOIA. For other requests, please contact us.

Advertising and sponsorships

While Enterprise Marketing and Communications handles university-level advertising and external sponsorships, individual VCU units may also use advertising and sponsorships to promote their needs. To ensure we adhere to VCU's overall brand, all ads and sponsorships requests must be reviewed and approved by Enterprise Marketing and Communications.

If you have a vcuhealth.org address, please complete the VCU Health sponsorship form.

If you have a vcu.edu email, proceed with one of the requests below.

For all other branding and identity requests, please email  or call (804) 827-0904.

Social media

If you manage a VCU-owned social media account or want to start one, complete our approval form to register or update your accounts. Make sure to review the VCU Social Media Guidelines to ensure proper portrayal, promotion and protection of the institution. These guidelines apply to all VCU-owned social media accounts and the administrators who engage in social media usage as part of their assigned VCU responsibilities.

We also invite you to join our VCU Social Media Administrators Group, which meets monthly to explore social media best practices and key issues. Please email us at socialmedia@vcu.edu to be notified of upcoming meetings.

Media inquiries

Our public relations staff members are here to assist journalists and members of the media as they cover stories and people at VCU and VCU Health.

We are a 24-hour operation. For media inquiries during regular business hours, contact (804) 828-1231 or vcunews@vcu.edu. For emergency requests outside of regular business hours, you can call or text (804) 418-0174 to reach an on-call public affairs staff member.

See our guidelines for media representatives.

FOIA requests

Enterprise Marketing and Communications handles Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests made to the university. See our FOIA page for instructions as well as other useful information on how FOIA works.
